Updates

I'm finding it very difficult to update the blog with two kids! I've learned that there is very little down time with two kids - and I've also realized how much down time I had with just Will. Right now Will is playing with his toys and Lauren is in the swing. I'm finishing up the laundry and I have a quick second to upload some pictures and write a little.

Lauren went to the doctor last week for her 2 month check up. She weighed 10 pounds 8 ounces and she was 22.75 inches long. She is in the 37% for her weight and the 57% for her height. She has gone up in height and down a little in weight. Doctor Hosinski said that Lauren looks perfect and we go back in two months. (Right now Lauren is sick, but she is feeling better. I took her to the doctor yesterday to get her checked out. I was a little worried about an 11 week old baby having a chest cold. They did some blood work and checked her out. She is fine. She did gain 5 ounces, though. We spend an hour and a half in the little doctor's office - that was a TON of fun. I kept wondering if we were a part of some experiment. Stick a sick 11 week old baby, her 34 month old brother, and a sick mommy in a doctor's room for 90 minutes and see what happens!)

We got new floors last week, too. They are great. We got wood laminate floors throughout the downstairs. They are so easy to clean and I just love having the same flooring for all of the first floor. Mom came up to help with the kids during the construction and also to help me put my house back together. It was great to have her help for a week and a half. We really miss her being here, but we're looking forward to seeing mom and dad soon!

I have some great pictures of Will helping our neighbor's with their mulch delivery (something about a boy and a huge pile of mulch!), but the camera's downstairs and I'm just not organized enough to post those yet. I'll try to do it soon.

Julie,
Good news... in 5 years they will both be in school and you'll have some time back. Though the time you get back during the day is spent at night taking them to sports, and music lessons and youth group and.... =) And in 5 years they can dress themselves and feed themselves too. But there isn't much that is more cute than a little baby and the joy of watching them grow. Hope Lauren gets better soon (and they get sick less too when they get older, or so it seems).
