Day to Day

Well, here are some day to day pictures of the kids. Nothing really big has happened around here - just normal day to day things. Enjoy!
Our morning routine includes me getting Lauren ready and Will dresses himself. After both kids are dressed, I usually go and finish getting ready. This morning I came into Lauren's room after getting ready and I found the kids reading together in Lauren's chair. Will was reading Goodnight Moon to Lauren.
Jumping in the leaves together!

Will in the leaves with his rake and shovel. He loves to help me with my chores.
Okay, so those of you with boys will understand the fascination with guns. On this particular day Will make a gun out of two rakes and a shovel.

First game

The Nuggets had their first game this morning and it was great. Will started out on the bench, which was good because it was his first game. Most of the other boys are older and they have played before. Will went into the game for the second quarter and he did great. He's not the star of the team, but he does his job and he tries his best. He got to throw the ball in, dribble down the court, and he even took the ball away once. I was proud that he always went the correct way down the court and he did what the coach told him to do. They won (though they don't keep score - but I'm not sure the other team scored) and they had a great time playing. Lining up before the game. Will's #5 again (he was #5 for soccer, too!)

The huddle before the game. Will playing defence. He's really good at defence! Will dribbling the ball down the court. We need to work a little on dribbling, but he tried really hard and he kept at it!Go Will!!!!

Basketball

Will had his first basketball practice tonight. I was a little nervous because all of the boys were SO big. My little 29 pound boy seemed so small next to the giants. Well, he did GREAT! He can't get the ball into the hoop, but he is great at defence! He had such great confidence in himself! When he was on offense (playing one on one) he dribbled it right to the hoop and shot. I was totally shocked. He seemed to really like basketball. He has his first game tomorrow.... after one practice! The team huddle - Joe is one of the assistant coaches because we didn't know anyone involved in basketball at the Y.Go Will!!! He was going in for a layup during the warm-ups.
Will playing defence! Great job buddy!
