Just having fun

Will is a great player - he will entertain himself for long stretches of time. One of his favorite toys is the Fisher Price Little People Farm. He loves all animals and he likes to take care of his farm animals. They always need to get a drink from the well and eat some "bapples" from the trough. He takes care to put them to bed in the correct place (every animal has a spot, even the added animals he got for Christmas from Cousin Bradley). Mommy tried to put some animals to sleep one night and was corrected in some of their locations. He calls all of the animals by the sound they make, except for the duck, turkey, and rabbit. He jumps for the rabbit, he actually calls the duck by name, and the poor turkey doesn't make a sound, motion, or have a name.

Will also loves to play with trains. He always plays at the train table when we go to the library for storytime. He also loves to play with the Thomas tables at the local bookstores and Toys R Us. Frequently Joe and I feel sorry for Will because he gets picked on at the public train tables. He is usually the youngest one there and some of the big kids like to boss him around. He has learned the ever exciting phrase, "NO, MINE!" from his outings to the various train tables. Of course he won't use this phrase in public - just at home to poor little Ella. Today Will and I went to Toys R Us to play with the train tables while Daddy was playing the bass at church. There was a very polite three year old boy there and they played so well together. It was a great experience. Will wanted to take home a train, so we used our gift card to buy Gordon (because he's blue and everything in Will's life is blue - we have to drink from the blue cup, eat on the blue plate, and wear all of the blue clothes...) We brought Gordon home and introduced him to James and Bertie. Bertie was a Christmas present from Will's buddy Nathan and James was bought one day when everyone kept taking Will's trains and he was getting upset. Plus, Bertie needed a pal at home. In the picture you can see that Will is saying "choo choo."

Well, that's enough about Will's adventures today. He is down for his long nap and I have chores to complete. Joe is at the gym for his triathlon training. I don't envy him!
