Yesterday we went to the Brevard Zoo. We are able to go at 9:00, which is before the zoo actually opens because my parents have a membership to the zoo.
That's really great because we get there right as the animals are coming out of their barns for the night and they are getting fed. We went right to the rhinos and the giraffes. Will got to feed the giraffes and he also got to see the new baby giraffe. That was very exciting! We went to watch the rhinos and they were very busy this morning. The rhinos kept taking mud baths in the muddy water and it was really fun to watch.
We headed over to the rainforest area and watched the monkeys play. Will's favorite area here was the big blue macaw bird that talked. He has never heard a bird talk and he was totally fascinated by it. We saw jaguars, anteaters, sloths, and many more animals. Next we headed over to the children's play area with the petting zoo. Will fell in love with a black goat and he kept following it around. The zookeepers let Will brush the goats with the special goat brushes. Will then went through the rock maze and down the big slide. We headed out for lunch and a nap. What a fun day!
