Yesterday was Will's Second Birthday. It is really hard for me to believe that it's already been two years. I remember so clearly the day we had him and it seems impossible that it's been two years since that wonderful day in 2004. I am so proud of Will and how he has grown into a sweet and loving little boy. Of course, there are days when I am reminded that he is TWO, but he has the sweetest personality and I am so proud of our little boy.Yesterday was a great day for Will. We woke up and Daddy gave him his train table. Joe has been working hard to finish a beautiful train table for Will. Joe found plans online to build a table and he's done a great job. All this week he's been working on it from the time he gets home from work until around 10 pm. It turned out great! We found a used train set at a consignment sale back in March and we gave that to him in the morning, too. I love having the table because he plays on it all day long. In fact, he's down there right now choo-chooing away!
Around 10:30 all of Will's friends showed up to celebrate his birthday. Janie celebrated Nathan's birthday during the day last year and I though it was such a great idea! Will invited his buddies Nathan (2 yrs 9 months), Hayden (2 yrs 6 months), Jackson (20 months), and Jack (5 months); and his "girl friends" Katherine (6 years) and Kaitlyn (3 years). We all had a great time playing, eating lunch, opening presents, and eating cake! I was so proud of all of the kids because they were all so sweet and well behaved. With that many kids around 2, it was impressing that there were no huge sharing battles!
Will took a great nap in his big boy bed (which he just loves.... he even asks for permission to get out when he's done with his sleeping!) and then we went to Daddy's work to hang our there until we could go out for pizza (Will's favorite!). We ate a great dinner and came home and played outside with Katherine and Kaitlyn (our neighbors that Will plays with every day!). It was soon time for bed and Will slept great last night. He loves his big boy bed and he's even excited about going to bed!
There are more pictures to come.... for some reason blogger is having a difficult time uploading today.... I'll try again later. -- Julie
